On February 1st the Government released proposals for a Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) to be introduced in April 2011. The scheme will incentivise low carbon heating technology such as ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers and air source heat pumps which is good news for home owners, large country estates, schools and businesses. The table below sets out the technology and the expected tariffs in pence/kWh
